“House'' ko hum Hindi mein “मकान” bolte hain. Makaan woh hote hain jo chaar deewaron se banaye jaate hain. Isme jaruri nahi ki pura parivaar rahe, usme ek vyakti bhi reh sakta hai. Asan bhasha mein kahein toh makaan banane ke liye hum ‘ईटों, लकड़ी, सीमेंट’ aadi ka prayog karte hain. Yeh ek choti si imaarat hoti hain jisme logo ke rehne ka prabandh kiya jaata hai.
Udaharan:
We got a new house in Delhi.
Humne dilli mein ek naya makaan liya.
Our house is at the end of the street.
Humara makaan gali ke ant mein hai.
I want to build a house by the sea.
Main samudra ke kinaare ek makaan banana chahta hoon.
She helped me clean the house.
Usne mujhe makaan saaf karne mein madad ki.
There is a bus stop in front of my house.
Mere makaan ke saamne ek bus stop hai.

“Home” ko hum hindi mein "घर" bolte hain. Home wo jagah hai jaha naki sirf log rehte hai balki ham use apne bhavnao se bhi jodte hai. Jaha ham aapnepan ki bhavano ko mahsos karte hai usi ko "घर" kaha jata hai.
Udaharan:
This place reminds me of my home.
Yeh jagah mujhe mere ghar ki yaad dilati hai.
There's no place like home.
Ghar jaisi koi jagah nahi hoti.
How does it feel to be back home?
Ghar waapas aakar kaisa lag raha hai?
It’s not very big, but it’s my home.
Yeh bahut bada nahi hai lekin yeh mera ghar hai.

Apne doston ke saath angrezi mein un jagahon ke baare mein baat karne ki koshish kare jahan aapne “home” jesa mehsoos kiya hai ya ek doosre ke gharon ka angrezi mein varnan kare.
